Please note the most evidence based treatments for dental caries were published in the Journal of Dental Research in October 2018 and clinical guidelines were published in JADA the same month. As you read them, you may wonder how they relate to what I think and say… As a member of the panel that created both documents, I stand behind the findings, but all readers would be wise to ignore the abstracts and realize the conclusions are strictly the comparison of solo chemistries to fluoride.
